Thank you so much for all of the wonderful birthday "happies" today! I honestly have been blown away by your thoughtfulness, kind words and well wishes. I am sure I received a card from every MS student. I especially love one that reads, "You are the BEST Vice-President ever!" I laughed so hard I almost cried.

SPIRIT DAY INFO:

6th Grade
6th period will end at 2:20 (6th grade team will adjust as needed prior to 6th period)

7th and 8th Grade
6th Period will end at 1:50
7th Period will begin at 1:55 and end at 2:20

Pep Rally
6th grade dismissed to pep rally at 2:20 and sit on south end of east bleachers
7th and 8th grade dismissed to pep rally at 2:22 (please provide 6th grade two minutes of lead time) 8th grade will sit in the center section on the east bleachers with 7th grade in the north end of the east bleachers.

Here is a tentative layout of the pep rally:
  • Students arrive while theme music plays
  • Welcome the student from the emcee (Mr. Pickens)
  • Coaches introduce fall sport student athletes (simply have them stand and remain standing until the entire team is introduced)
  • Class Yells-pump up cheers led by the cheerleaders 
  • Band Chant
  • Game involving student body-Help with game from Mr. Pickens
  • Dance
  • Cheer
  • Class Yells-pump up cheers led by the cheerleaders 
  • Closure by Mr. Pickens telling the student body how important attendance is at the game, what time the game starts, etc.
